...and I am glad when it is even less than 25 degrees in the house during the summer. At a constant room temperature of 25 degrees, if at all, my only piece of clothing would be swimming trunks

...and when your acquaintances visit you, it means, "we're going to the sauna again tonight" .
Or do you run a sauna club???

No - I don't like saunas - they're always too cold for me
Acquaintances really did come in shorts and Hawaiian shirts (at -10 degrees outside temperature),...
When friends come, all windows are opened and we dress warmly

Hahaha... I recognize myself in that. Even our bedroom currently has 23 degrees (though here still with a gas heating system).

I would like to follow up with my question here.

I heard from an acquaintance that his air heat pump consumes about 5000 kWh annually. I am still missing some of the basics, but I was a bit shocked. It is also said that the pump has a separate electricity meter and receives discounted/subsidized electricity.

I suspect that the 5000 kWh actually applies to regular operation without switching on the electric heating element.

Can anyone provide me with some practical experience or link some basic literature on this? Is the consumption really that high? Is the electricity really subsidized? If so, to what extent, etc.?

Thank you very much!
