Hello.
Our house was completed at the end of 2013. The external insulation and the exterior plaster were applied in March 2014 due to weather conditions. From the beginning, a hollow sound was noticeable when tapping against the plaster, but I did not give it much thought.
After a New Year's Eve accident with the neighbor, a piece of the exterior plaster was now shot off by a rocket. (see photos). It is now visible that the plaster at this spot stands about 1mm away from the insulation/fabric. This would also explain the hollow sound almost all around the house when tapping.
A representative of the construction company was here and said that everything was fine and that it had to be that way. Due to my own doubts and confirmation from equally half-knowledgeable acquaintances, I wanted to get an opinion from the experts here in the forum to see if this is really normal before possibly having to hire an expert/lawyer.
In the end, do I now have to be afraid every time I perhaps kick a heavy football against the wall that I will then have a hole in the plaster?
Thank you very much for your ideas and suggestions.
Best regards
