We also still have gravel in the yard .. north-facing .. and snow sometimes 30 or 40 cm. Nothing disappears quickly there, and it becomes an ice surface when cars have driven over it a few times. So the snow has to be shoveled away. However, if only 5 to 10 cm of snow lie with more possibility of sun exposure, then you can skip shoveling the snow.

It's quite exciting to dig up the old thread again, read a few reactions, and think about what would have happened if we hadn't gone through with it back then.

Back then, it even became over 500,000 loans. Some would have called me crazy for that. Meanwhile, with 1.5 salaries and child benefit once a month, we have 6,000 euros available monthly. If you add Christmas and vacation pay, it's more like 6,800 euros.

I'm glad I didn't let myself be unsettled back then.

Wow, how time flies. I wanted to leave an update again even though there isn’t much new. Now that the sandbox, playhouse on stilts, swing, berry beds, and perennial beds are in place, we are truly completely finished. Last year, our concrete terrace got a “wooden cover.” A robotic lawn mower will also be purchased this year. I’m tired of mowing 700 sqm of lawn weekly from spring onwards. With 1.5 salaries, we now have just under 6,150 euros (times 14) without child benefits and the installment is 1,600 euros. We still only have 1 car, kindergarten costs us 140 euros per month.

I call that an exemplary ratio. Unfortunately, each member can only like each post once, and Emo_t_icons have been discontinued.

Only 150 euros more in 1.5 years? That’s a real wage loss :O I would have thought about 16,000 euros given your increases and mentions :o

Interesting thread though and retrospect :-)
