Additional cost for laying larger tiles

Hello,

the construction service specification usually states that tiles are laid in the kitchen, bathroom, utility room, and hallway.

In our case, it states that tiles up to 50cm length are included and that larger tiles are laid at an extra cost.

Who can tell me approximately what that costs?

According to the construction service specification, tiles up to 35 EUR are included and this does not affect the size. It is only about the increased effort for laying the tiles.

you should ask your construction company what they charge as an extra for laying larger tiles.

Our company has a kind of scale.

As an example:

From size A to B = XX,- EUR extra per sqm
From size B to C = YY,- EUR extra, etc.

It won’t say that there – after all, there aren’t only square tiles.

Of course, your contractor. Otherwise, it largely depends on whether the tile can still be handled by one person. Up to 60x60 cm you only have more waste, beyond that double labor costs.

Here is the excerpt from the construction service description:
In unserer Kalkulation gehen wir von Fliesengrößen von minimal 15 cm und maximal 30 cm aus. Abweichende Fliesengrößen oder diagonale Verlegung sind mit einem
additional effort associated. If you wish, we will gladly prepare an offer for you.

We have partly chosen tiles of 30*60 cm.
How is the additional effort there?

So, I checked again. Here is the excerpt from the construction service description: In our calculation, we assume tile sizes of a minimum of 15 cm and a maximum of 30 cm. Deviating tile sizes or diagonal installation are associated with an additional effort. We will gladly provide you with an offer for this upon request. We have partly chosen tiles of 30*60 cm. 15-30 is stated in the construction service description. 60 is not included = surcharge.
