1. I need a fresh water supply. The connection is at the property boundary; I estimated the installation including the connection into the house at €2000. This will be carried out by a freelance installer, so no verification before requesting offers.
2. Wastewater disposal. A shaft needs to be constructed for this – I don’t know who will do it or what it will cost. Cost estimate from posts: €4,300.
Question: Is the shaft optional? What is it for? Wouldn't a "simple" connection to the sewer be enough here?
3. Rainwater. You can build a cistern for reusing the water. But what do I have to do here? Theoretically, can I also do nothing and just let it seep away?
Thanks to you all.
The fresh water supply was installed by the municipal utilities here.
It cost us €1910, from the property boundary up to the house, 15 meters included.
Wastewater had to be applied for and contracted to a specialist company. That cost another €2821. The building permit specified what was needed. Shafts are for inspection in case of clogs.
My specialist company said it’s best to build a shaft at every straight section to make it easier if problems arise.
I would recommend asking a civil engineering company in the region as an example.
You can do a lot with rainwater... The cheapest thing I found are soakaway tunnels. Doing nothing I would advise against, since so much water comes from the downpipes, it’s not that easy, you’d flood. Maybe it could be connected to the sewer?
