The right neighbor's garage is at least partially on the property, and paved paths from the left neighbor lead onto the building plot. In addition, there are extensive structural facilities on the property; hard to see on GoogleEarth, I think they are retaining walls and raised beds.

... depends on how you want to use it. The residents of the villa have apparently created a wonderful park-like property and even the right neighbors' place looks like a feel-good oasis. surely has lots of ideas on how to create a nice garden even without a big budget. However, you can forget about a pool.
And therefore we will definitely refrain from this project.

Not me. I prefer a detached narrow house to a wide semi-detached house. Without binding to a general contractor and a shared driveway, I’d find it interesting if you’re not dependent on barrier-free access.
