A semi-detached house as two apartments?

my wife and I are currently planning to build two semi-detached houses. We want to live in one semi-detached house ourselves, and the other semi-detached house is to be converted into two apartments. We would like to accommodate our parents in each of them. Is something like this feasible? So there would have to be two fully functional apartments in this semi-detached house. One on the ground floor and the other on the first floor, for example. Additionally, this semi-detached house would need to have something like a staircase, because each person has their own apartment door... not like in our semi-detached house, where there is basically one front door. Now the question is whether something like this is doable? And what kind of total costs one should roughly calculate.

Why should that not be feasible? There are architects for that. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything about the price.

Everything is possible, whether it makes sense is the question. In principle, semi-detached houses are designed so that one apartment extends over two or three floors. If two apartments are to be made, one problem is the separate access to the upper floor; furthermore, in a semi-detached house, the ground floor usually houses the kitchen, dining, living room, hallway with staircase, and guest WC. If you now want to accommodate a bathroom and a bedroom as well, everything becomes very tight and fragmented.

We used to have a semi-detached house; the parents lived upstairs and we lived downstairs. It was a bit cramped, 55 square meters upstairs, 56 downstairs, and the rooms were quite small. Best to ask an architect.
