3m wide hanging sliding door (which one?)

Good day.

We want a 3m wide hanging sliding door in the living room. Now the question is whether it should be divided into two or three sections. The general contractor said a two-section door will be difficult to open because more weight is being moved there. What are your experiences with this?

Three meters wide, do you really mean a sliding door between two rooms (running in front of the wall), or rather a parallel-slide-tilt (terrace) door?

PSK three-part then. And now you prefer to go through the middle third rather than through the left or right half? What is behind the consideration PSK instead of lift-and-slide or folding slide (or even outward opening casement)?

Opening outward/inward loses space. The terrace is about 12 sqm and covered, so we didn’t want doors that open outward. The same applies to the living room with 28 sqm. The question with 3 m width and two parts is whether you can "simply" open them or if you prefer to make it three parts?

Silly question. What is the difference between a lift-and-slide door and a PSK?

I have checked myself now. It is an HS and not a PSK. The question remains whether doors of 3m width can be opened without problems or if they require a bit more force.
