This is the ring beam or in parts initially a lintel + ring beam, so yes, concreted, we need 12cm insulation on it. The roller shutter boxes are installed directly underneath together with the windows. Thanks for the compliments

Interesting. Do you then split the 5-meter elements evenly (i.e., 2.5 m)? How high are the windows?

yes exactly half and half, each 2.5m panels.... we have a large pillar between the two 5-meter elements. The panels will be arranged so that the area around the pillar is open when both sliding elements are open, meaning one panel is slid to the left from the inside view and the other to the right.... since we have the same flooring on the terrace (Fließen) as in the living area, in summer we have nearly tripled our already large space.... the feeling of spaciousness was important to us and since we spend a lot of time outside in summer anyway and the lift-and-slide elements are almost barrier-free, it’s great for us.
The height is about 2.5m plus 25cm roller shutter box. yesterday the window installer was still here to measure :-P
