For floor plan design, we use de.floorplaner.com. Usage can be learned fairly quickly through video tutorials. It has a 3D view and several thousand furnishing items. Here, in my opinion, the cost-benefit ratio is relatively high even for laypersons.

For facade and property design, we use SketchUp, but the learning curve is not for the uninitiated. For those with technical experience, the initial learning effort is at least 4 hours (tutorial series). I assume for more professional 3D-CAD software this value is significantly higher and for a layperson probably needs to be multiplied by a single-digit factor. Personally, I would only spend €70 once I am convinced that the software meets my needs. So, at least play around with the free trial version for a few days.

Hello,

I dug up the topic because I am looking for a suitable tool for house planning. I am mainly interested in the floor plans, but furnishing and 3D views would also be good.

I have drawn a lot already, but now I want to reuse floor plans and save them as a new draft with slight changes, without having to start drawing from scratch every time.

What do you think of "meinHausplaner"? It costs 30 EUR, a colleague who built last year recommended it to me. He said it takes 2 - 3 hours to get used to it, but then it is very helpful.
Getting used to it is okay, but I don't want a professional tool.

What do you use here?

Thanks and regards

For PC, the VA Hausdesigner is the best and equivalent to the earlier Arcon. Unfortunately, not for Mac

Aren't these CAD applications something like professional tools?

So I have meanwhile decided on the 3d Architect Master from Concadus. I got along very well with the program, even though you have to spend several hours getting used to it. The big advantage in my opinion is the DXF export of the projects. This way I was able to send my self-created floor plans to our architect, who could then further process them.
