So close to FRA Port, I didn't want to live if there is no good reason. I know flying from much further away in London, I can read which plane is currently flying over the house on approach and that every minute with about 20-30 minutes break. It hits me every time. Fortunately, I am only visiting.

Sorry, but such an unrealistic comment can probably only come from Australia ^^ Do you think someone who easily spends a million for a small terraced house with additional costs still has the luxury to worry about possible aircraft noise? Apart from that, Hattersheim is indeed very close to the airport, but next to, not in the approach/departure corridors. If you look at an aircraft noise map, you will notice that it is much less loud there than in places that are much further away, e.g. all of Wiesbaden or Aschaffenburg.

Where the flight routes are also sometimes just rerouted... and a few years ago there were certainly protesters who bought a house "cheaply" and shortly afterwards went to demonstrate because the aircraft noise is oh so terrible. Therefore, I find the point quite valid, at least so that a conscious decision is made when these points have been considered. But if it has to be FFM, then unfortunately those are the prices, and Hattersheim is still comparatively cheaper.

A brief glance at any aerial photo of Frankfurt Airport and its surroundings or a rough understanding of the large-scale weather movements in Central Europe proves the opposite.

Okay, that was probably too unspecific... the routes themselves are fixed, but the frequency at which planes take off and land there can change relatively quickly, i.e. whether the individual flight departs to the east or west and which loop it flies.
