Good day,
I would like to replace the existing wooden walls of my garage, visible in the attached photo, with a smoothly plasterable alternative.
The garage connects two houses, which consist of 24 cm brick walls – supplemented with 10 cm insulation afterwards – and end just below the garage ceiling. Behind these wooden walls, a yellow insulation can be seen. In the floor area, there appear to be green XPS boards inserted.
Originally, I simply wanted to replace the wood with cement fiberboards to counteract the partly enormous moisture, but the question of ventilation or vapor permeability is increasingly occupying me, so I would like to ask the experts here in the forum what they would recommend. I hope the pictures provide sufficient information to assess the situation.
Thank you very much and best regards
Stefan Gross
