Wood stove on vinyl floor?

Hello,

we actually want to install click vinyl. It was also planned to install a wood stove.
Now I read that you should not place a stove on vinyl, as the vinyl cannot withstand the heat well.
Is that correct? Do you have any experiences? What if you lay a separating plate (glass or steel)? Is that still not enough?

We have a fireplace on click vinyl (variant with carrier plate). We have no problems (at least our fireplace has a wooden compartment below that does not get warm). According to the respective datasheet, the combustion chamber or stove requires a certain distance in all directions from combustible materials. With click vinyl, you definitely cannot avoid a hearth glass plate.

Accordingly, the area around a fireplace operated with solid fuel (where embers can also form and may escape from the combustion chamber when refueling) must be protected with a non-combustible base. Whether a residual impression remains on the installation surface of the fireplace or not is irrelevant, as it is not visible. The danger arises from glowing components that escape from the fireplace and could cause a fire hazard.
