I understand you very, very well and am not as calm as your boyfriend either. But you will not receive more than superficial relief after your inquiry to the house manufacturer, while in the other case, you have to pay with money.

I do not know your financial situation, but I assume that, in the worst case, the price increase will be in a range that you can cover again with a tiny consumer credit, without any major checks, or initially by giving up the outdoor area etc. My favorite example of giving up is always the new kitchen, which can often be bought used in excellent quality.
I hope my contribution was not intrusive; it is important to me to relieve you.

Unfortunately, I do not understand the connection between the order confirmation and the yet non-existent contract for work. Normally, isn’t a contract for work (with all reservations and agreements) signed first, and then an order confirmation or contract acceptance is received?

In the usual case, at least with all major prefabricated house manufacturers, there is also a fixed price guarantee of varying lengths, for example 12-24 months.

So what "order" did you place that was confirmed? And what still needs to be signed in the contract for work?

What do you mean by connection? The order confirmation was requested by the house manufacturer as a guarantee that we will build with him and that he basically holds the date for us now. All prices except for those of the sampling are fixed in this.

The contract for work also fixes the sampling. Until then, the interior walls etc. all have to be finalized. We could possibly still change these by then. With the contract for work, the house then goes into production like that. It also records what we do ourselves etc.

That is all a bit unclear. You received an offer with prices from the company and accepted it and received an order confirmation in which everything is listed again with prices? Then you already have a contract, so why should an additional work contract be concluded and what services should it include?

That's how I see it too. The order has been placed, so the contract is concluded.
