Hello everyone,
I have a problem understanding and I am looking forward to your help!
How is the specification of the window size in the construction drawing to be correctly understood?
The specification of the parapet height indicates the height up to the edge of the wall. Accordingly, a parapet height of 1.00 m corresponds to four rows of bricks, correct?
The size of the wall opening for the window is given in the construction drawing e.g. with a width of 1.635 m and a height of 1.46 m.
So the mason leaves me a hole in the wall of the size 1.635x1.46 m after completion, right?
But if I plan an attachable roller shutter box for my windows with a height of 30 cm, then I actually need a wall opening of 1.635x1.76 m.
Does this also have to be specified in the drawing?
Is there still a note missing "Attention with roller shutter box" and then all the experts know about it?
Or is it to be understood differently?
In the end, I want to have the correct wall opening so that I don't have to live without roller shutters in the end.
Thanks in advance to you all!
I really find it great that you deal so thoroughly with the topic and ask the right questions and subsequently draw the right conclusions.
The highlight last week in another thread was trying to determine the parapet height down to the millimeter/centimeter.
