Hello friends, I hope you can help me. I have two questions, we are building and last week the windows were installed. I discovered a defect on the window frame, see photo. Is that a defect? And the second question is, according to the contract the roof overhang should be 20cm, I measured 18cm. Is that still within the tolerance?

The flaw is a defect and can be fixed.

The roof overhang is probably within tolerance at 2cm

What does fix mean? Completely replace or repair with a repair kit. The dents are about 2mm. The roof overhang is between 18cm and 19cm. It depends on where I measure. If it is within the tolerance, I am reassured. At the neighbor's house, it is exactly 20cm, at some points even 21cm, it was the same company.

Wrapping. They are wrapped windows, aren't they?

With us, the defects were similar; the surface was sanded down and re-glued.

If you are building with GU: point this out at the next visit of the site manager. I think that the plastering contract makes it possible to have less than 20cm within the tolerance. Windows: the site manager should comment on this. Personally, I don't find it so bad now, but I don't know if it is tolerable. Regards, Yvonne
