Hello everyone,

attached you will see a picture of how the front view of our house is planned so far. Unfortunately, my girlfriend doesn’t really like the look. She would like to change the arrangement of the windows. We just don’t know how. I think we are a bit stuck at the moment.

Do you have any ideas or tips for us on how we can make the front view more visually appealing?
I know you obviously don’t know which rooms are behind, but maybe you could ignore that for now and focus only on the visual aspect.

Thank you very much for your help.

Primarily, we arranged the windows according to needs such as furniture, lighting in the room, privacy protection in the bathroom, etc. Subsequently, we focused on the exterior appearance and also achieved a good result for us.

Why are the left and right upper windows not at the same (parapet) height?

The windows are primarily too small.

I wondered about that too, or at least at the same height at the top.

I don't find it disturbing if the windows are not aligned with a ruler, so a different parapet height would not bother me; I actually find it more relaxing.

But I agree with Knallkörper: why are all the windows so small? Is that the side facing the street, and do you deliberately want to allow little insight there? Then you could use more stylish windows. Narrower ones that might be placed higher, so not at a normal parapet height but higher up to let in light from above, yet not visible from outside. So-called light strips. However, they would need to be planned longer.
If privacy is not a problem, then I would make the windows generally larger.

But in principle, I find such a façade more relaxed than always symmetrical and strictly vertically aligned windows. But that is a matter of taste.

It would be interesting to see what the other façades look like. They have to somehow match. If the other three façades are more in city villa style, then this façade does not fit the rest of the house. If the other façades are also freely designed, then it fits.
