Hello everyone,
I am interested to know if there is a guiding principle by which one arranges their windows. For example, in a rectangular room with 25 sqm, one window with 1.875m or two windows each with 0.9375m. Does the location of the room play a role in the window arrangement? For example, the room has an exterior wall facing north and west.

I know the question may seem a bit silly. For me, it is about preventing the rooms from turning into dark holes.

Hello,

There are no silly questions, only stupid answers :-)

As a rule of thumb: 1/8 of the floor area of a room = required lighting, regardless of the orientation or use of the room.

Kind regards
