um so I would never make the biggest piece 2m high, but rather about 120 or so, so that you sit in the wind shadow. Anything higher is unnecessary at first. And at the back I would probably leave it open and plant a shrub. Then the problem with the wind load is solved.

Once again for visualization: The purpose of the 200cm high unit by the garage is to provide some protection from rain for the equipment behind it, such as lawnmowers and also trash bins.

Bar mat with gabion plastic printing. In your face. But whatever, I think especially if the wind hits it, it won’t work with the planned means. It will require completely different material thicknesses, this is not a task for a double bar mat from the hardware store, which is then also filled with plastic strips. Especially since the height also seems completely unnecessary, who’s supposed to look there? Garbage cans don’t need rain protection, wind protection is more likely. Build or buy a box or shelter for that. The lawn mower belongs inside.

That was a quick change of opinion about preferring to say nothing if you don't like something. Hypocrites, after all.

Beyond all discussions about the appearance:

The manufacturer GAH-Alberts, who exactly offers the post holder to be used here, writes about the model on their homepage: "Recommended for fence panels up to 1200 mm in height." Apparently, no structural engineer is needed to say, "This won't work!"

Best regards

Axel
