Will our house become too dark and opinions on the floor plan

Thank you for your answers!

There are some things in there that we will definitely take into account or address at the next appointment.
We have absolutely zero idea ourselves and therefore relied on the planner.
So also many thanks for the explanation about the windows, we will definitely address it at the next appointment.

Which planning errors are still there? Should we rather turn to another planner? I am very uncertain now.

Unfortunately, I can’t answer that, the planner drew the stairs like that and we assumed it was the best option.

Office in the basement.. what is the office used for? More document storage or actual work from home?[/QUOTE]
Only storage and stuff like taxes once a year, occasional bank statements, sporadic insurance stuff.

Then I’ll add something...
why the shaft, about 80 cm wide, in the living room ceiling
Should make everything a bit more "modern"... but it’s going away, we don’t like it. I forgot that it’s still in the plan, sorry.

And mentally take a basket of laundry to the closet area in the bedroom
The space between the wardrobes is also too narrow.
That’s true indeed!

Where is the wardrobe?
The pantry is supposed to become a wardrobe.

And sorry for the wrong responses. It’s very hard for me to write here because the left half of the screen constantly contains ads that don’t disappear and I haven’t figured out yet how to reply directly to a post in the normal way. I’m kind of at a loss.

An architect, a colleague of my husband’s worked with him. He has already built several houses in our area, so we thought it would be okay.
Should we get a second opinion? What should we do now?

Properly formatted again, Yvonne

, just answer without quoting if the question is directly above .. or, if you do quote, then write the text AFTER the quote, that is after the last square bracket. That way you can always see where the answer is.

I thought architects and professional planners work with CAD?!
This software was used by architects for a while 20 years ago, now it is actually only used by amateurs, like for example by and me.

What you do with the information from this forum is your business. It is often also a financial question, where we must not always presume to give advice.

Does the architect charge according to HOAI?

asks Yvonne
