Hello,
I would see it exactly the other way around. If my construction company can’t keep deadlines even when giving a quote, how should it be during the actual construction phase? Delays can of course happen, for whatever reasons. But a call from the provider is enough, and no one will be angry with them. As the client, I don’t have to keep calling relentlessly...

When building, many things go wrong. If a delay of 2 days for an offer already upsets you that much, then maybe you should consider whether you really want to put yourself through the stress of building.
