I just wanted to show with my wishes that even if you want something, you don't necessarily get it. Even if you think you have a "right" to it!

2000€ remain from what?

No, overall building a small house and then adding an extension is more expensive in total costs, that is, after the completion of the "big" house. Certainly, the big unfinished house is more expensive at the beginning, but the expansion is much cheaper. So the total costs in the end are lower.

The disadvantage of the extension is simply that you still need an external wall with insulation and everything else during that time. You then make wall openings again and have to reroute cables, etc. In addition, the extension must be completed all at once.

In the unfinished upper floor/attic, you can already build everything up to the top and later you don’t have to tear everything down again, as with the extension. You might also be able to gradually add a children’s room to the upper floor. That would help your financing from the ongoing income.

Also, the plot must provide space for an extension in the right location.

Well, our net salary minus our fixed costs and living expenses = 2000.00 € net at free disposal.

Hmm, okay, then we need to get some advice on what you "save" at the beginning if you only finish one floor!

And your fixed costs will probably increase significantly with a house (BU, RLV) Depending on if you move further away, second car, etc. And if you need a loan of 350k€, 2000 will already be very tight Bauexperte always says: First set the financial framework and then proceed with the planning. I would strongly recommend that here as well!

That was exactly my thought. For the normal house, I think we won't get past the 350k. The idea was whether one could first build a smaller house, which could be placed for, say, 250k, and thereby make the installment "affordable." What is BU and BLV in relation to the house? :-) BU probably does not stand for occupational disability insurance ;-)
