No, on the website there is also the OS X version for free download, it is just a Java program. Only in the App Store does it cost something

Completely forgotten. Or rather, you probably mean that with your "bypass". There are two workarounds for this problem:

    [*]zoom out.
This easily expands the "editable" space and you get the room to move objects there.
[*]Or simply at the beginning of a project place an object (I like to use a bird for this) relatively far to the right and bottom of the plan. This expands the already used space and then you can scroll very easily.

I know, the forum search is not great. But does someone really have to ask this question "again" twice a year because of that?

I had used the forum search and found nothing. At least not a thread with extensive information.

:
When you zoom out, the canvas does not get bigger. To expand to the left, for example (from the program's perspective the negative axis), you have to draw something.

I searched for the plugin and could not find it. However, I found that there is also an official plugin with which you can really rotate individual walls, rooms, objects arbitrarily.

On the SweetHome3D website under Plugins, the AdvancedEditing. That works. I only have the other as a plugin here. With it, you can basically rotate everything at once. All levels in one go by 90° per step.

quickly remove the link and rephrase where to find what you mean.
Links are removed very quickly by the mods here.

Oops, sorry. What is it then allowed to insert links in the forum software for?

So, just go to the program's website and then to the plugins subpage. There, either search for the advanced editing plugin or have the page search for "rotate".
