Hello everyone,

I had originally planned cement screed, but my tiler told me: with flowing screed you don’t have expansion joints with the tiles and with parquet you don’t need leveling compound.

Ground floor: tiles
Upper floor: parquet, the main bathroom with tiles

My screed installer offers both.

Should I still stick with cement screed?

I would like to hear your opinions on this.

Wet areas (possibly also [Windfang], [Speis]) I would do with cement screed. Living areas with anhydrite screed. But it depends on which floors you want to install. Parquet floating or glued?

Flowing screed is not a type of screed, but refers to the distribution. Flowing screed levels itself. Either calcium sulfate screed or cement screed. Cement screed is not affected by moisture, calcium sulfate screed is. For the floor covering, it doesn't matter anyway. It just wants a smooth surface - regardless of the material. I would always glue parquet as well.

How is it actually with the costs here? Everything the same?

Why should you not have an expansion joint with flowing screed? We have flowing screed and there is a joint at every room transition. However, I can quite imagine that you don’t need leveling compound, since we also only have tiles on the ground floor. If done well, it also works with cement screed.

Good question, cement used to be cheaper when construction costs/wages were not so high. Now I would almost say it's about the same.
