Since we are officially allowed to discuss products here - I would be interested to know which toilet you have favored? Of course, other brands are also welcome, but we definitely want an open rim or rimless. There are still models from Duravit (DuraStyle) or Laufen (Pro), but subjectively, we don’t like them visually. The same goes for the Keramag Renova Rimfree, visually, it’s not to our taste. I don’t know if there are other branded products that are rimless or have an open rim.

The Subway 2.0 and the Keramag Icon Rimfree look quite similar and both suit our taste. After favoring the Subway 2.0 for a long time, we are now leaning more towards the Keramag Icon Rimfree. Why? Because it is really rimless, while the Subway 2.0 has an open rim.

What did you buy and why? Which of the two do you think is better and why?

We currently have 2 Keramag Icon and are very satisfied with the choice. Why did we choose it? We liked it, simple design and it was comfortable in the "dry test". And that was also confirmed afterwards.

We have the Subway 2.0 upstairs in the bathroom and the Subway 2.0 compact downstairs in the guest bathroom. We liked this visually better than the Keramag. Moving in is planned for the end of the year, then we can report how it actually is in practice...

Keramag Icon (in bathroom and guest WC), as it was recommended in the bathroom exhibition, is actually rimless and also visually appealing. Whether the Subway 2.0 was also available there, I do not remember.

We have the Subway 2.0 three times and once the Ideal Standard Eurovit - the classic.

I prefer sitting on the Eurovit (by the way, it is installed deeper than the standard), it has a rim, but as mentioned at the beginning, the Subway also has an (open) rim.

Both variants are easy to clean without problems. The workmanship and appearance of the Subway are of course much better. And that is why I would recommend it - and only for that reason!

But I still don't really understand the hype about the rim (I was partly carried away too) as the owner of that variant...
