Which mid-range furniture brands are there?

My sister said recently that she was surprised how expensive some parts were once they were of comparable quality.

Yeah! The KLIPPAN is definitely affordable, but for adults who want to sit comfortably during a 1.5-hour movie, it should be in a different price range.

What would you recommend on how we should proceed with the living room set?

Should we just go to furniture stores and see which one we like?

Or should we look for brands of living room sets? (if yes, which ones have a good price-performance ratio?)

When you see the living room set in the furniture store, it is hard to assess just the quality because you have no insight into the interior.

With "good" salespeople it's always a bit tricky; you have to be lucky to get a "good" one, but as a layperson it is almost impossible to distinguish a good salesperson from a bad one.
