Do you have a specific recommendation there? We are still looking for a suitable provider.

For us, there was only 140€ difference between a decreasing and a constant one. We took out a life insurance policy for both of us through Allianz. The rest was handled by the notary. We pay about 750€ per year for a constant 400,000€ over 25 years and would be 60/61 years old at the end of the term.

Additionally, we also took out builder’s liability insurance and a frame construction fire insurance. The frame construction fire insurance comes free with the conclusion of a building insurance policy.

Please not these inter-providers but rather the classic big ones like Allianz etc. Where else do you have your insurances?

But as already said, a classic one is also worth it. We have had other things with death benefits partly through employers. That's why the decreasing one. You don't have to insure 100%. Partial coverage is enough. So that, for example, the spouse can still manage to service the loan.

what speaks for the classic providers in term life insurance? I understand that for things with discretionary scope like household contents.

The health questions at Allianz were exaggeratedly formulated for us

1. Are you still alive
2. Can you still breathe independently
3. Are all limbs still present

Then I fired up Check24 again, and at the end there was first a questionnaire, including medical records, confidentiality waiver, etc. Then the decision was quick.

Why is the online insurer cheap? Because it is cheap, without service, picky in case of damage. We are with an independent broker. Criterion: insure us cheaply, not cheap, not maximum, but cheap. Where, does not matter. If something happens, he takes care of everything. Recently had an accident with a Dane, he was at fault, the broker arranged everything with Copenhagen, the car is intact again. That's convenient. Karsten
