Which heating method would you choose and why?

Hello, I want to build in the near future and cannot decide between gas and geothermal energy. The single-family house with Kfw 70 (basement, ground floor, 1st floor and attic conversion) has 163 sqm of living space and 2 people live in it. Underfloor heating is also planned. How can I heat hot water and heating most cheaply? What is the most cost-effective and why?

Best regards

Hello,

I would move away from gas, oil, and pellets. But also a comparison of heating systems.

For a new build KfW70-2009, I would go for a DV heat pump.

Best regards

The question is also being asked by us right now!

Which heating system for the new building!

Geothermal energy is probably ruled out due to the double acquisition costs and the increased electricity consumption!

Hello Doeldi,

in the end, you have to calculate it over the lifecycle.
Acquisition costs
Incidental costs
Operating costs
Maintenance and repair costs
Energy carrier costs

If you only want to consider the acquisition costs,
then condensing technology would be okay.

The main thing is that you can switch to another energy carrier in a few years.

That's why I also refer to a system comparison calculator.

Best regards

The house will of course be built in such a way that one could always switch to geothermal energy!
That means underfloor heating!

But unfortunately, no one can tell me how long the lifespan of a heat pump is! No one gives me more than 4 years warranty, and what if after 7 years the thing is completely broken?
Would another 6000€ be due then? Is there another technology that forces me to spend even more money?

Then the system wouldn't make sense anymore! Where is the electricity price headed? Our regional provider is increasing it by 14% as of 01.01.

Nobody knows anything!

Hello Doeldi,

of course nobody will give you a guarantee.

Can't you change the electricity provider, 14% is quite steep?

Completely independent of the heating.

Best regards
