So my Dyson is definitely already 5 years old and I am still satisfied, also with the battery.

Here too. V6. Runs unchanged. Why should they break? Cordless vacuum cleaners become more practical the more stairs there are. In a bungalow, well, then it's not necessary.
We use it as a handheld vacuum, a floor vacuum, a car vacuum, a balcony vacuum, a garage vacuum, and an upholstery vacuum. As long as it's dry, it sucks up everything. The others will probably be the same, as if there were any great differences being made. Vacuuming is not a science.

For six years Dyson, first cordless. The corded buddy only comes up from the basement for spring cleaning. My parents have only a Dyson handheld vacuum for 140 sqm.

One thing is also clear: The 2000-watt industrial vacuum really pulls differently on the tube! You should know that.

The vacuums are so expensive, you buy new batteries! Vacuum cleaners from 200,-, batteries around 50,- €.

Since it has no other follow-up costs, you can buy a new battery every six to seven years. If at all. Two or three sets of bags and filters for Bosch/Miele/Kobolt cost more.

What are we talking about? You are talking about 200,- Euro things, but it's about small handheld vacuum cleaners for cars and such under 49.90.

Wow, thank you very much for your numerous replies! I will now start googling through the models.

Whether with or without a cable is a good question. Power outlets are actually available everywhere. I had a handheld vacuum cleaner ages ago, a terrible thing, it just made noise and didn’t suck anything up – after a few months (!) it only lasted 2 to 3 minutes before the battery gave up. But that one was very cheap. The vacuum cleaner I’m aiming for now may well cost a bit – if it is good.

I have looked around a bit now. My goodness, what a selection there is! Meanwhile, I think I prefer one with a cord. But there are also many of those. I really like the handheld vacuum cleaners that come with an extension to plug in – that way I have even more options for use. So one like that. The net tightens ^^
