Hello

We currently need to decide on a front door.
Our front door has an automatic locking system and it should be extended with an A-opener.

The A-opener comes from Winkhaus.

We would like to have a fingerprint scanner installed.

I have read a lot and I am wondering which fingerprint scanner we should have installed.

The options are Biokey Inside directly in the door.

Ekey dline also in the door leaf with communication with Alexa (if I understood that correctly).

Ekey home as wall mounting.

Is the ekey home also able to connect to Alexa?

Which fingerprint scanner would you recommend to us?

I can recommend ekey. What exactly do you want to pair with Alexa??? The system should preferably operate independently as it is security-relevant. There is a gateway to connect Ekay to KNX. Probably also for other systems.

Ekey itself advertises a new smart secure fingerprint for installation in the door.

You receive push notifications in the new ekey bionix app and can also open the front door from anywhere with the app.
They also emphasized that you can open the door with the phrase "Alexa open the door" when you don't have a free hand.

I find the voice opening quite interesting but it should of course be secure.

The new Dline fingerprint is still very new as well.

With the ekey Dline fingerprint you only have to place your finger instead of swiping over it.

Push notifications can also be implemented via the gateway. Opening from external sources is also possible otherwise, but then please use a VPN and so on... I would not give Amazon access to my house. If you don't have a free hand, it is possible depending on the scanner from Okay via Bluetooth or RFID.

As far as I understand, you would definitely go for the ekey home, right?
Do you find the ekey Dline in the front door too insecure? Because of the cloud and Amazon integration?
Have you looked at the Ekey Dline on their homepage?

I have the Ekey net version. But I know some objects where Multi or Home is used. Yours has not been on the market for long and I don't see any real advantage. Rather disadvantages. Therefore, I would personally prefer to take the Ekey home.
