Rick is right, I definitely wanted ceiling outlets, even in the flat roof. That would have had to be significantly thicker, which in turn would have led to a thicker intermediate ceiling and floor slab in the statics. We still have a layer of lightweight screed on the concrete ceiling on the upper floor, in which the ventilation lies. Above that, sealing, insulation, etc. It has considerable weight and thus saved money, and the pipes are still within the insulated envelope.

Many roads lead to Rome.

Disadvantage of installation on the ceiling with core drilling: Just don’t hit any electrical conduit...

You must not always assume your "temple". In a typical single-family house, the execution according to statements is most common.

Building higher said that you have to calculate it. It also depends on what kind of ceilings you want.

How thick would your ceiling have had to be in the flat roof? We also have a flat roof and our top ceiling is 25 cm thick with the pipes of the controlled residential ventilation installed inside it.

yes, even beyond the 20 cm. Besides putting the controlled residential ventilation pipes in there, there was no reason for it, so the additional costs were not justified. Every centimeter of reinforced concrete costs several hundred euros, especially since it would have affected not only the ceiling but also the components underneath.

The pipes were laid under the screed at our place. No one asked about it (and to be honest, we hadn't really thought about it) ... but the expert didn't say anything about it either
