Hello,

we need your input in choosing the right wood color for our floor.

We are still looking for the flooring for the upper floor and attic hallway and rooms, and the same floor should be laid everywhere.

We want to install a vinyl/design floor ourselves in the upper hallway and rooms; which look would you recommend to us?
We would like a dark wood tone, but would that possibly clash too much with the beech stairs, which are quite light?

Here are a few examples that would be possible. But you are welcome to make further suggestions.

We mainly need help with the look,

just beforehand, we do not want parquet, only laminate or vinyl/design flooring were an option for us, and I found out that vinyl is better than laminate.

Please no recommendations like "better take parquet."

Do you have a picture of the staircase? With [Buche] there are also different variants, our [Kernbuche] is rather rustic and absolutely not to be compared with the light 08/15 [Buche]

A photo of the beech staircase/the shade would be helpful. Beech can vary depending on the processing. Is it the classic, orange-warm, slightly glossy lacquered beech? We have such a staircase, and in my opinion, almost nothing that has a wood look fits with it, unless it is exactly the same beech tone. It is very warm and reddish, which clashes, in my view, with other tones. But that is individual, how one perceives it; others happily combine beech with other woods and are not bothered by it. We have a light carpet upstairs and beige-gray tiles in the hallway on the ground floor, which at least fits. However, I find the beech tone so old-fashioned and unsuitable for all the tones I like that I am currently in the process of painting it white... So the question is, what does the rest of the house look like? Does the beech match your other furnishings? Or would a beech floor/furniture be a no-go for you - then you might want to reconsider the stair color. But maybe you have a completely different, more modern beech tone, so a photo would be helpful.

Sorry, forgot that you still need the color of the stair steps

I would say we are getting the standard beech.
The stair steps are lacquered

We will probably paint the stair railing anthracite

The ground floor tiles are gray and many of our furniture are white

I attached a photo of the step

the 3 examples do have lighter and darker areas, I would hold the step up to it and take one where the beech tone is reflected in the vinyl, maybe Beech Natural?

Beech natural is very light

we wanted either a darker wood tone (Picture 3) or a wood/gray (Picture 1 and 2) tone

but we did not want a similar wood tone to the stairs (we are not beech fans) only the surcharge for a different staircase was gigantic

Therefore, I am seeking your advice on which floor would go well with it
