Right now, I am only concerned with condition inquiries, not loan inquiries yet.

Broker 1 says: if Broker 2 makes a condition inquiry at bank xy, Broker 1 at bank xy only gets the same conditions as Broker 2 even though he might normally have gotten better ones.

Broker 1 also says he does not have to make condition inquiries because he can see everything with his own system. Broker 2, however, does not have such a system.

Speak well of yourself, but not badly about the competitor. Since intermediary one does not master this rule, he is character-wise unsuitable for such a profession. Go to two. Or better yet, straight to your bank. Karsten

So intermediary1 is talking nonsense and something like that can't happen?

Does intermediary two possibly also have such a system? How is one supposed to know that only he has these tools in this big world! And intermediary two requests the banks anonymously? Without your personal details, only with the key data, income, credit requirement, equity, etc. Banks also give all intermediaries they work with the same conditions. They do give slightly better ones sometimes for good regular customers who often bring them business and whom they know are reliable and without shady dealings. Karsten

If that were the case, as intermediary 1 wants you to believe, every intermediary's first question to the new customer would be "Have you already asked other intermediaries" and if the answer is yes, the second sentence would have to be consistently "Then I can't do anything for you." ;-)

Edit: Of course, it may be that certain banks handle it that way to maintain their credibility with the customer, but generally, that is certainly not the case.

Before the intermediary passes your data on to anyone, you must of course sign that they are allowed to do so (You even have to confirm separately with every sports club that they are allowed to store the data...)
