Hello everyone,

I have another question regarding my future construction project.

It’s about the property circled and marked in purple. It is mine, and the house marked in red could be my potential house. So the plan is to build there within the next 2 years. The street to the north with the turning circle directly behind the property has not yet been built but is planned to be built in 2020. Then the potential house could be built in 2021.

Now I’m just wondering in advance. Should one clarify certain things with the city before they build the street, which could later be advantageous for the house construction? I’m thinking, for example, of: electricity, water, sewage, media connection, or anything else.

Does anything come to mind?

Thanks.

Regards

Talking to each other is always good! And prevention is better than cure. Talk about the topic of street lamps!

In our residential area, one party had the lamp relocated and a second one planned the carport on the other side because they did not want to bear the relocation costs. Unfortunately, the lamps are not always located at the boundary or on the correct side.

Do you think you can convince the city to build the road according to your ideas, as would be optimal for you? I rather assume not (but I haven’t built yet).

I think the construction of the road is already decided, as well as how far which connections, etc.?

Thanks RFR, that's a good keyword.

Of course, the city is supposed to build exactly the way I imagine it!
Nonsense, of course not!
I was thinking, since they’re already digging something up anyway, maybe they could lay connection lines at the same time. Maybe I can save some costs that way. Maybe then you wouldn’t have to dig something up again later. Advantages for everyone.
Or something like RFR mentioned.
Or something that hasn’t occurred to me yet.
Since I’ve never built anything myself (only bought and completely renovated), I don’t really have an overview yet and thought I’d ask if it might be sensible to think about certain things in advance.

What would occur to me is to save the discussants the trouble of browsing through my thread history by providing a simple link to my other thread concerning the same construction project:

Well, whether the old discussion can contribute much here?
It’s about two completely different issues.... But ok
