Hi,
we receive the house from the general contractor with Q2 interior plaster. We would then mainly want to paint or have it painted. Having the painter do the whole house is quite expensive, so we are considering doing some of the walls ourselves. We will have all the ceilings done, as we are also having painter's fleece applied there. The actual question: What exactly is necessary to achieve a Q3 wall from the Q2 in order to apply dispersion paint directly on it?
According to previous research, at a minimum, all walls should be sanded with a float or a trowel. That certainly won’t be enough, and all walls would have to be skimmed again with gypsum plaster, such as the Rotband bonding plaster gypsum from Knauf (I read this often). Is that correct, or what do the experts among you recommend?
Best regards
