Hi! We (36, 31 with 2 children) are considering financing our dream of owning a home. Now I wanted to know in advance, what kind of subsidies are there? Unfortunately, we have little equity and as far as I understand, the state (Zinsverbilligungsprogramm) only subsidizes if you have 25-15% equity. Is that correct? Thanks in advance Marvin

That is a bit short-sighted, but yes, there are different funding options for various things.

What you are asking about sounds a bit like social housing subsidies. You should make a bit of an effort to find these on the internet. I just took 3 minutes to find the relevant funding.

I don't think building will be an option anyway, rather a used one for a maximum of 300k including all additional costs. We should have about 25k in equity, therefore the question about the [staatlichen Förderung]!

Has anyone taken advantage of the funding? How exactly can part of the 15% be covered with personal contribution? (Purchase of a used property)
