I would like to expand your rule: changes are bad. Moving, changing bank accounts, switching credit cards, changing electricity providers... if several things happen at the same time, it can be very negative.

One should ideally not have more than one checking account, two are still okay. No more than one credit card. But these are just a few relatively obvious things. There are more as well.

Was not meant seriously either, but there seems to be something to it.

Your addition is correct. Some time ago, I moved 5 times in 7 years for work, after that I probably wouldn't even have gotten a mobile phone contract. I also have the online access. Sometimes very interesting what is going on there.

I can confirm that. My mobile phone contract is through my parents because I moved often due to my dual studies. Also, I didn’t have an overdraft for a long time because I didn’t need one. My score is terrible, and that without any unpaid bills or anything else.

My main bank called me months ago and asked why I had moved to the street "X," a lousy address. They had received this information from Schufa. It turned out that an error had been made in the back office of my other main bank (Sparkasse).

I was advised to correct the address as soon as possible because my Schufa ranking deteriorated as a result. The Sparkasse also confirmed to me that a bad address leads to a worse ranking.

I don't care about my Schufa ranking, though. My bank wasn't interested at all when granting a real estate loan because my creditworthiness is unquestionable even with a relatively poor score. I have 4 checking accounts and 3 credit cards, have moved frequently, and that's a good thing—no matter what Schufa says. I have never ordered anything without paying, and none of my checking accounts has an overdraft facility (at my request).

No idea why you all make such a big deal out of this place!

Watch out if you want to buy a few sneakers on account at Zalando.

Everything is possible! At Zalando, I only pay by invoice.
