Hello,
we are building a prefabricated house on an inherited plot. Now the connections are still missing. Unfortunately, an underground cable would require opening a 100m footpath.
Our neighbor's house gets electricity via the roof; the line comes from the house on the opposite side of the street.
Now a power pole is to be installed in our property corner next to the driveway. Then the electricity will come from the other side of the street to this pole. An underground cable from the pole then leads into our house, which stands at the other end of the property; the property is 36m long.
Other lines are also used for the overhead line across the street, so there are no longer 4 lines in the air, but a thick (sheathed?)- I am an absolute layman here.
Our neighbor will be reconnected to our pole via overhead line (do we pay for that too or does the municipality pay for it?)
Does anyone have any idea what this might roughly cost us? We will of course get a quote...
On the other side of our house stands an old house, which my husband is supposed to inherit eventually. It has an underground cable.
Would it be possible and not also cheaper to dig over there (if that is possible)?
For water, we also have to go over or through the street. It would probably be cheaper to tap the water next door at the soon-to-be-inherited house. But to what extent could this cause problems later if the house is ever sold or demolished?
Our building land and the soon-to-be-inherited house used to be one property and were divided because of a construction loan etc.
Maybe someone has some useful tips.
Best regards and thanks in advance.
