I would like to point out that glyphosate is really bad for the environment and I cannot understand how something like this is still recommended nowadays. If you don't care about the environment, then maybe your own life, because it is most likely carcinogenic as well.

Just don't, then you might as well cover. All good soil organisms from earthworms to microorganisms die off. Better to cover then.

When building the house, push the top layer to the side, since there will already be heavy equipment on the property. The seeds already in the ground remain viable for many years. I wouldn't spread them across the entire area anymore. When you later set up the garden, have fresh, weed-free soil delivered. With the trees, I would immediately decide which ones you want to keep. Remove the rest as soon as possible; otherwise, you'll have more work later with the root stumps. Now it's actually enough to keep a strip free towards the neighbors to maintain neighborly peace. ;)

Well, then you pack up what is supposed to survive, if necessary.
Show a site plan and house design, and mark on the site plan the vegetation you want to keep.

To Haydee. Glyphosate does nothing at all to the worms and such. It kills all plants through absorption via their leaves. You can reseed after just 48 hours, then everything is broken down.
Carcinogenic, yes, if you breathe it in the spray mist. But if you apply it with a garden sprayer, you do not inhale it.
And it is for one-time use, so the collateral damage is manageable. Our country has not gotten it again since 2017.
Don’t always fall for Bärbock’s panic propaganda immediately. Think about it, K.

Glyphosate is harmful to humans, animals, water, and flora and fauna. This has nothing to do with not thinking and Baerbock and Co. That stuff has no place in the garden and should be banned for private use.

We have not inherited the Earth, we are borrowing it from our children.

We should always keep that in mind.

By the way, Nordlys, you should slowly know that my political home is with the CSU.
