Better in terms of sound insulation is certainly KS

However, it reacts catastrophically in terms of thermal insulation. This means it is not recommended without an ETICS; at least not for the exterior walls. Whether KS can be used for interior walls depends on which stone – in turn – is chosen for the outer shell.

So we are back to the topic: every stone has advantages and disadvantages; there is no one perfect, bliss-giving stone ;)

And what speaks against Poroton? We will have 36 cm Poroton bricks without insulation.

Well, I just thought because a few said that if you don't live directly on the main street or by the railway, aerated concrete is enough?
We're just considering whether poroton or ytong. My mason suggests ytong.

Y-Tong has a very good insulation value down to below 0.1 W/m²K, it is easy to install and work with. Poroton has similarly good insulation values - I just forgot additional advantages and disadvantages :D Kalksandstein has a very modest insulation value, but good heat storage and static properties. Suitable only for double-shell masonry or with [WDVS].
