For this reason, I did not buy a water-carrying fireplace. An alternative might be a pellet fireplace. There are still corresponding subsidies from the Bafa.

And what happens when the desired temperature in the rooms is reached and the heating circuits close? Where should the hot water from the water-bearing wood stove go then?

As wrobel wrote, four additional water pipes are needed at the water-bearing wood stove. 1x supply and 1x return to the storage tank. 1x fresh water for cooling, e.g., in case of pump failure. 1x wastewater connection 1x cable for temperature sensor (depending on the installation of the pump) and sufficiently large storage volume.
