We live in our apartment, which was built 20 years ago.
We simply cannot stand the floor coverings in the form of tiles anymore. Unfortunately, we do not have underfloor heating. The area amounts to about 95 sqm.
We have already done a bit of research - but retrofitting underfloor heating is a massive effort financially as well as otherwise. Especially because the apartment on the upper floor is connected to the same heating circuit with radiators and thus would require different flow temperatures.
Requirements:
We definitely want wooden flooring (at least visually), which is relatively warm. However, we have two small children and a big dog, so it should be resistant to scratches, etc.
We simply cannot decide between the following options:
- Parquet (oak)
- Vinyl (HARO Disano - without harmful substances, could also be laid directly on the old tile covering)
- Cork in wood look (e.g. from HARO)
OR else
- Tiles in wood look WITH UNDERFLOOR HEATING ???:-(
or, or, or...
Who can give us a helpful tip/impulse, perhaps with some personal experience.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
