Do it right the first time. One 16 A in the garage for general purposes and another 32 A for eCar. This way you can install up to a 22kW charger later.

Ideally, install a separate FI in the meter cabinet right away.

If you are building new anyway, have an empty conduit installed from the basement to the garage. Everything can run through it, and you could still easily expand something in 20 years. For example, we connected the lighting at the garage in series with the house facade and installed a sink in the storage room of the garage.

But to answer your question: The fuse box should have a separate protection directly. Then you need a five-core cable with at least 2.5mm² cross-section. 32 A is best because then you can charge at 22 KW. We had everything prepped exactly like this and paid an extra €100 for it.
