Hello, I am new here and unfortunately have not found anything about my problem. We have newly purchased a Bodbyn gray. Due to the construction of the walls (tile backsplash) which protrudes about 1.5 - 2 cm, we now have a gap between the end of the side panel and the wall. Ikea itself offers finishing strips but only in white or black. Does anyone know an alternative manufacturer that also offers gray strips? Thanks! Best regards Knut

Hello, the strips are intended for use when no cover panels are used. That is why they are only available in the two carcass colors. For the problem, I can only think of 1. mounting the cover panels without a gap to the wall. 2. having paint mixed to match the front color, then painting the wooden strips (e.g., cove molding) and attaching them to the wall. Instead of painting, you could also cover them with wallpaper.

...thank you for the response!

Perhaps I did not explain exactly where our problem lies, so here is a more detailed explanation:
- We have wall cabinets 80 cm high with corresponding side panels
- To mount these straight, additional battens had to be installed in the upper area alongside the hanging rails to compensate for the tile splashback
- Now the side panels are mounted so that they are flush with the door front at the front. This means the cabinets stand about 4 cm away from the wall at the top and about 2 cm at the bottom
- To close this gap, we are looking for cover strips preferably in Bodbyn Grey.

Best regards
Knut

I have already understood that. The gap could have been smaller if you had left out the spacers at the bottom and placed fewer under the rail. Then, first of all, the cover sides would roughly align with the body at the front and rest against the wall at the back. Cove moldings wider than 4 cm probably won't be available, but there are flat moldings, for example,

Plastic moldings, similar to those from IKEA, are used in window construction, but I rather don't think they come in (BODBYN) gray.

You can also ask the other professionals here how it is solved with other manufacturers who use a hanging rail.
