Ceiling is already okay, it is a room closure to the top. In the splash water area, however, the BT should still install tiles.

Dear bausepp,

even though this doesn’t really belong here and I actually didn’t want to comment on such topics anymore – this really stinks to high heaven. With such methods, uninformed building owners are being fooled. "Raumhoch" normally means for laypeople (also in the attic) ---> up to the horizontal ceiling.

I think Bausepp is right, if you order a painter and show him the [DG] and then request a quote for "wallpapering and painting ceilings" you would probably be surprised if the painter assigned the slopes to the walls..... wouldn't you????

I agree with that!
Those are exactly the points why I would never build with a BT. If you get the "wrong" one, there are tons of such points on a house that can be debated.
If my architect hands that over to the tiler or even puts it out to tender without coordinating with me what is ceiling and what is wall, he'll get trouble from me, because that's what I have him for.
If he now wants the tiles on the sloping roof, they'll probably cost twice as much as the others.

No one is helped if we write what people want to hear! ;-) If the judge has to settle it, at least the lawyer earns something? :-? What was stated in the [Baubeschreibung]? What is part of the contract? Anyone who doesn’t question everything carefully can quite easily experience a misconception. A pity but true!

Thank you for the contributions. I have agreed with BT, otherwise there would have been zero trouble. The tiler does not charge more than for the wall tiles, we will share the costs for tiling the slope.
