Hello everyone,

we have been toying with the idea of buying a house for a while now and of course we are also gathering information from friends and acquaintances who have already built or bought. Time and again/often we hear that especially existing properties are quickly sold "under the table" and don't even make it onto the well-known portals. This of course reduces the chance of getting a good house, which might also be a bargain.

Do you know of any possibilities or do you have any ideas on how to get access to these "internal information"? It can't always just be a coincidence that someone knows someone who knows someone whose acquaintance is selling a house, right?

When it comes to existing properties, you can rely on the brokers, especially the brokers affiliated with or owned by banks sometimes have a slight advantage. The bank broker sold my apartment to a bank client whom he knew was looking. It never went on the market ...

I would do that too. Hang onto the usual brokers

... but please do not hope that you are getting a bargain. That hardly exists anymore nowadays.

I agree with that. Good and at the same time affordable houses are hardly to be found anymore. In our area, only overpriced "junk" is still on the market.
