Ventilation / airing in the passive house - duct odor / musty laundry

Run the washing machine empty at 60 or 90 degrees with a machine cleaner. Works wonders

I think it is due to the venting of the sewage system. Passive house = passive ventilation. This insulation craze that is supposed to save energy can indeed cause problems... until the place then stinks and molds because of the "insulation" around the outside :O

I also had a septic tank at the house before it was connected to the sewer system; when the house was new, that smell was there for the first few months as well. You also know it from prolonged warm weather periods, the drains dry out and what accumulates daily then pushes back up because of the heat – thorough flushing is therefore a must!

In the passive house, the wastewater is insulated, or what are you trying to claim with that incoherent babble?
