But I assume that if you completely rebuild such a thing around us, you might as well build new soon. At least 50 sqm would have to be added.

Asbestos fibers are constantly flying through the air even without our interference. So calmly leave the asbestos on it, there is neither a scientific nor legal basis to remove or coat asbestos from the roof. Just don't be scared. If anyone has a B55 to give away, I would gladly take it.
