Using an empty foreign construction plot "just like that".

At our construction site, they have also spread onto all neighboring properties. We then asked them to stop because at least one future neighbor is quite particular. There were already a lot of discussions before we even started building.

Now our property is surrounded by a construction fence and the nice people at the construction have to make do with the space on our property. It's going well. And as mentioned above, if the other houses were already standing, they wouldn't have any other choice anyway.

That is called solidarity in the new development area. The builders usually have no influence on that. It is the construction workers who do not understand why they should block the construction road when there is a free [Park] area.

At first, I also found it strange with us. We have the Porta potty and half a crane from the neighbor on our property. By now, I don't care at all.

I see it positively: If they leave the gravel in, half of my driveway is already finished.

I don't basically find it bad either, but that one asks beforehand if it's okay, I would definitely expect. Especially when there are already shafts there. So at least I would handle it this way myself: ask and also immediately state that if damage should occur as a result, it should not be at the expense of the property owner.

I would do it the same way. But when our neighbors started, none of the neighbors knew each other yet. The contractor just went ahead and did it. Often everything refreshingly unbureaucratic on the construction site. I wish it were sometimes like that at work too.

Yes, that's how I see it too. Theoretically, it could be that your construction work is supposed to start exactly now, and then all sorts of stuff from the neighboring construction site is standing in the way.
