Unplanned interior area - does §34 of the Building Code apply? Experiences?

Then we will probably arrange an appointment. Since I have rather bad feelings about the depiction of the property, I will remove the pictures again following the instructions. Sorry for any other readers. Many thanks for the feedback. And also to Katja, for suggesting that we should offer solution proposals for the development. I will post updates here afterwards.

Brief feedback: Unfortunately, the first consultation with the authority did not go well. It is considered a [Splittersiedlung] and accordingly, it is not a building gap according to §34 of the Building Code. The case would probably be different if the couple owning the farmhouse were to build their retirement home next to the yard. However, since they feel very comfortable on their yard and wish to grow old there, this is not to be expected. Unfortunately, the case will be filed away.
